Fine Food & Wine Cruise is gearing up with two new cruises to a new destination... Tahiti. With a cruise sponsored by DeLille Cellars in September, 2012 and one sponsored by Tobin James Cellars in April, 2013.
Ever since the business began in 2010 with the idea of creating a full ship charter of Fine Food and Wine cruises, doctorsid has been creating all venues of advertising and visual media. Each cruise has it's own web site, trade show banner, brochure, promotional postcard, sales flyers, HTML Email, and more.
Also, each cruise has a Celebrity Guest Chef for which special media is produced for his restaurant and media events.
And of course there are assorted magazine ads, HTML Email, Trade Shows and other outlets where media is created for the entire company that include elements from all of their cruise offerings.
With each new winery that sponsors a cruise, a complete website is built to match or compliment the theme of the winery colors and overall apperance. with facts about the ship, the cabins, ports of call, the guest chef, online booking and even special price charts depending on if a promo code is entered. Along with tracking from ads and email blast to know where the bookings are coming from.
And naturally all of this ties in with the assorted types of printed media used to compliment the web site and drive prospective travelers to book an upcoming cruise. |

Cupid's Chapel of Love is one of Gatlinburg's most popular wedding venues. This website was well overdue for a serious make-over. The new site utilizes some cool features of HTML5 and css3, such as transparent table backgrounds and a custom typeface.
Along with intergration of the chapel's FaceBook page, the new site sports a new color scheme that is a lot easier on the eyes. The photography section also gets a nice facelife of a auto running slideshow with the photos in decorative frames. An expanded "wedding packages" section includes all of the information for each of the packages. The old version forced the user to make another click and go to a new page to see the details of that package.
Even if you still use one of the dinosaur web browsers that doesnt support css3 and HTML5, you will still view the site in a very similar visual than if viewed on the newer browsers. And as with all the sites developed by doctorsid, it is fully compatible with iPad, iPhone, Blackberry and other smartphones. For devices that do not support Flash, the viewer will see a static alternate content image.
To complete the package, the new Cupid's Chapel of Love website is hosted on our Black Bear Web Hosting servers. With Google Analytics, Web Trends and weekly FaceBook reports, the SEO strategies can be tuned to maximize any targeted search result they may wish to achieve.

The Eight Gables Inn, Bed & Breakfast which is now under new ownership, also felt the need for a new more elegant looking website to compliment the Inn instead of taking away from it as the old site did.
After researching the websites of other bed & breakfasts' in the area, doctorsid designed this overall theme of gold and browns with grey accents. Along the top of each page is a small sliding photo show of the inn or the surrounding area. And to add to the feel of gold and softness, we used rounded corners in the text blocks and photo sliders.
doctorsid toured the Inn to capture the photographs so that we had images exactly as they were needed. And of course this also meant the owners would have a nice group of new images to use in their other media they produce for the inn.
Like most new web projects we develop, there is the plan for them to grow in the future. This base site was enough to coincide with the changeover of ownership. The flagshipship site of seven pages will see more pages added sometime in the near future.
Along with the sliding photo show, there is also intergration with FaceBook and a built in Google Map for directions to the Inn. The Eight Gables Inn logo was redesigned and created in a format for easy use in creating embroidered apparell, screen printed items and just about anything you could dream of having a logo on.
Future developement of the site include photographing all 19 rooms for display in the site and further development of the specials and weddings sections. We also have in mind to add in some details about the menu and other amenities of the Eight Gables Inn. since the resrvation process is not a part of the Inn's website, but rather a third party service, the imagery and theme of the reservation pages do not mimic the main part of the website.

One thing about being a web designer, is that we rarely take the massive amount of non billable hours to develop our own personal website. But with the evolution of the HTML language to version 5, along with the large amount of people using mobile phones and tablets to access the internet, it motivated doctorsid to finally rework the website, a process that only seems to happen about every four to five years.
With that said...
Here are examples of the site as seen on a 17" LCD monitor, Blackberry Storm, iPhone and iPad.
